To celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, we ran a colouring competition with the chance to win a place at our fabulous Pottery painting Party at Fired Paint A Pot Cafe!
The winners were then selected to bring their designs to life, creating their very own beautiful commemorative plates. Fired Paint A Pot Café owner Emma showed the children the process of designing their plates and the behind-the-scenes process she undertakes to glaze and fire them. The children spent a wonderful 2 hours with their parents painting their plates and tucking into a delicious spread. A special guest at the event, the recently appointed Mayor of Bury, Shaheena Haroon, also came along to the event to admire the creative works underway and spoke with parents and staff about the hard work that was put in to bring this event to life, as well as future events of Mill Gate Shopping Centre.
Mill Gate Shopping Centre would like to extend their thanks to Emma and the team at Fired Paint A Pot Café for hosting the wonderful event, all the children and their parents for attending and their creative works, and a special thanks to Mayor Shaheena Haroon for attending.
