Mill Gate Team Set to Scale Ben Nevis for Bury Hospice

Mill Gate Team Set to Scale Ben Nevis for Bury Hospice

This August, two of Mill Gate’s dedicated colleagues are swapping the shopping centre for the summits — all in the name of charity.

Angela Tierney and Graham Bentley will be climbing Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the UK, to raise vital funds for Bury Hospice — a charity that has touched the lives of many in our local community. At 4,413 feet (1,345 metres), Ben Nevis is no small feat, but Angela and Graham are taking on this tough challenge to make a real difference.

Since 1991, Bury Hospice has provided specialist palliative and end-of-life care for thousands of people and their families. With just 13% of its £4 million annual running costs funded by the NHS, the hospice relies heavily on fundraising and community support. That’s why this climb matters.

Why It’s Important
1 in 2 people in the UK are expected to face cancer during their lifetime. Hospices like Bury’s offer crucial care, comfort, and compassion during life’s most difficult moments.

Angela and Graham are aiming to raise £500 for the hospice – and with your help, they can get there.
