Bury Art Museum inspires sensory exhibition in Mill Gate

Five artists and five community groups have created artworks exploring the five senses, and their work will be on show in Bury’s Mill Gate centre from Monday to Friday (18-22 April).

They used their surroundings, Bury Art Museum’s collection and their own imaginations as inspiration over a series of workshops.

  • · Radcliffe Hall Primary School have been smelling at Radcliffe Market and creating noses with Oliver Bishop…
  • · Philips Park High School have explored texture waiting to be touched in Whitefield with Seleena Laverne Daye…
  • · The Jinnah Centre have recorded sounds inspired by Bury Art Museum’s collection and their daily lives with Alexander Douglas…
  • · Incredible Edibles have explored still-life paintings, changing values towards food and tasted Mrs Beeton’s recipes in Prestwich with Anna Columbine…
  • · Woodhill community group have been capturing colour in Burrs Country Park with Stephen Walton…

The exhibition will be from 12pm to 4pm at Shop Unit 25, The Haymarket (between Yours and News Corner).
