The Knife Angel comes to Bury

The Knife Angel comes to Bury

The 27-foot ‘Knife Angel’ made from more than 100,000 knives will be unveiled in Bury town centre on Friday 1st March.

The sculpture, made from over 100,000 seized blades, was specifically created to highlight the negative effects of violent behaviour whilst solidifying our critical need for social change. Not only does the Angel act as a catalyst for turning the tide on violent and aggressive behaviour, but it is also acts as a beautiful memorial designed to celebrate those lives who have been lost through these violent and thoughtless actions.

The Knife Angel will be located near the intersection of Tithebarn Street and The Rock from 1 – 27 March 2024 as part of its National Anti-Violence Tour.

The project is being led by the Bury BID (Business Improvement District) in partnership with Bury Council. Greater Manchester Police and several organisations and partners.
