There’s plenty of spooktacular fun lined up in half term at Mill Gate’s Horrible Halloween event.
Mill Gate shopping centre is hosting a Weird Wednesday on 25 October to get youngsters prepared for Halloween. There will be fancy dress competitions, Uncle Doom and his Organ of Gloom, Halloween craft and a scary pair of stiltwalkers.
The fun starts at 11am with a free craft workshop on Union Arcade outside Pavers where youngsters can decorate Day of the Dead skull masks to wear for Halloween.
Mill Gate is encouraging youngsters to dress to distress to enter the best Halloween costume competition at 11.30am and 2pm.
There will be offbeat comedy from Uncle Doom who will glide around Mill Gate on his grand piano entertaining shoppers with his ghoulish beats. The undead uncle is trapped between two worlds – his only escape is to recruit as many living beings as possible to join him in song.
There will even be a Mad Scientist and his creation – a giant fly who will stilt walk around the mall scaring shoppers and posing for selfies. He will be joined by juggler extraordinaire Dr Dai Death. The event takes place in Mill Gate on Wednesday 25 October from 11am to 3pm.
